Beverly and I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the wonderful experience that we encountered while you were building our new home. Everything was handled with the utmost courtesy and consideration during the entire process. From the very beginning, we felt that we could contact either of you at anytime for concerns that we might have had.
As you know, we had the plans and interviewed several builders before we chose Ryan Hartman Homes to do the construction. We felt very confident after meeting with the two of you, and you even gave us some very useful suggestions that we incorporated into our new home. We felt that both of you really strived to make sure that we had the feel and look that we really wanted.
We knew when we started the actual construction, the cost of the home. Along the way, anytime that we changed something, one of you would check the cost, let us know, and let us decide if we wanted to proceed with the change. During the building process, Dale really stayed on top of things all the way through. We were impressed that Dale had the construction people redo things that we did not even see anything wrong with. His statement was, it was just not up to his standards and wanted it done over.
Since moving in, we have realized just how energy efficient our home really is. We have had a couple of really strong wind storms and the tightness of the home was very evident. We have almost no outside noise, no drafts, and the thing Beverly has noticed most, very, very little dust in the home. That in itself speaks wonders for the energy efficient construction of the home. We could not be more satisfied.

We are so impressed that you were able to do the many unusual requests we had and make the house come together as it did.
For any prospective client of yours that might be interested, we interviewed several builders, had three builders bid this job (including two that are friends of ours) and we could not be happier that we selected Ryan Hartman, Inc. as our builders.
One of the frustrations that we had in the builder selection process was that most builders were set in their ways and did not seem to educate themselves on new and innovative building techniques and materials. Contrary to this trend when we talked to Dale and Kurt, they were not only aware of most of these innovations but they had experience with them.
We particularly like their approach to green building and energy efficiency. They assessed many different methods to use the most efficient yet cost effective methods. They kept common sense in the equation!
Ryan Hartman, Inc’s record keeping and cost communication was always detailed and up-to-date. Additionally, I knew that my funds were NEVER used to pay for other projects. We chose to enter a cost-plus contract and more often than not it was us choosing to opt for high cost choices. Dale and Kurt constantly tried to find cost reductions in the building process. I never wondered if costs were being padded. Dale was willing to share all bids with me and he got several bids from different subcontractors. There were a few trades where he did not select the lowest bidder but the one that would do a higher quality of work. With those particular trades, we discussed the cost benefits and consciously chose the higher priced contractor. Interestingly, those contractors were only marginally higher in cost and did much better work (in my view after seeing other newly built homes). Again, common sense was always present in decision-making.

This was our first custom home and commercial office. Dale’s team handled both projects. He’s a hoot to work with, really knows his stuff, and every inspector who came in verified that my hunch was true- they always said they’ve never seen a building built this well. We are already looking at future expansion plans and wouldn’t use anyone else. I wish they would open an office for MAINTENANCE! They’re so darn thorough. I want them to do everything else all year– check gutters, etc. Anything that takes detailed checkups that we’re not good at. They’re rockstars!
